What does ACSP mean?

ACSP is a type of intermediary between limited companies, limited partnerships, LLPs and Companies House. The acronym ACSP means Authorised Corporate Service Provider.

What is ECCTA and why does it matter?

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) aims at tackling economic crime and improving transparency over companies and other legal entities.

Identity verification is an important part of the ECCTA. Under the act, Companies House is required to verify the identity of anyone who’s submitting information to the public register – including those acting as intermediaries.

Why did we become an ACSP?

We understand the importance of accurate and transparent information on the public register. We are aware that Companies House doesn’t have a full picture of who is filing the information.

Alongside other services we already provide – such as accounting, tax advice, we decided to become an ACSP to help carrying out identity verification checks on directors, PSCs (People with Significant Control).

We are supervised for AML purposes (anti-money laundering) and have duty to conduct due diligence checks on our clients.

Our identity has been verified, so today we can deliver documents to the Registrar on your behalf.
